Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What kind of meals will be included and do you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies/sensitivities?

A. We will prepare and eat nourishing, whole foods. Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, and healthy fats. This is based on ancestral nutrition with a focus on anti-inflammatory foods. That being said, we will discuss how to eat intuitively and I will happily accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Please let me know what those are when you book your space.

Q. Where is the retreat located and what's the best way to get there?

A. The Retreat Center is located at Located at The Steel Horse, 49130 County Rd. LL56, Villa Grove, CO 81155. It is approximately 3 hours from Denver and 2 hours 45 minutes from Colorado Springs. It is south of Salida and west of Canon City. If you are interested in carpooling, let me know and I can put it out to the group.

Q. How many people will be attending?

A. I depends on how many people share rooms. There will probably be a total of 16-20 people maximum. Our group will have the entire retreat space to ourselves.

Q. Are the activities mandatory?

A. Some activities are optional and there will be Energy Healing and Yoga offered during free time for those that are interested. I would encourage you to attend the informational sessions and meditations but if you need time to yourself to integrate, just let me know. Meal prep and kitchen clean up are part of the activities and we will rotate so that not everyone is doing every meal, but this is part of the experience to work on bringing mindfulness and love to daily activities. Also, I want everyone to go home in the habit of preparing delicious and nutritious meals so that it's easy to continue when you get home.

Q. Is smoking allowed on the property?

A. Yes. Smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas only (the deck.) No smoking is allowed in any buildings or campsites and cigarette butt disposal in any other areas besides receptacles located on the deck will not be tolerated.

Q. Is there wifi?

Yes, but it is highly unreliable and very slow in the mountains, and can only accommodate a few users at a time. We will focus on being technology free during the retreat as much as possible.
